GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Performs advanced (senior-level) consultative services and technical assistance work to protect critical infrastructure. Work involves planning, developing, and implementing stakeholder engagement activities; supporting information/intelligence sharing initiatives; and building relationships with infrastructure partners. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support Texas Infrastructure Liaison Officer (ILO) Program coordination, including program marketing, documentation, information sharing, and event planning and production.
  • Support state-level advisory group coordination and meeting planning and production, to include support of the Private Sector Advisory Council and Texas Critical Infrastructure Protection Task Force.
  • Research and develop critical infrastructure protection publications to share information with stakeholders, including guidance, news, threat intelligence, events, incidents, and resources.
  • Support outreach activities to engage and build relationships with key public and private sector stakeholders.
  • Support efforts to plan and produce critical infrastructure protection workshops, conferences, seminars, briefings, exercises, and meetings.
  • Develop and deliver presentations on topics related to critical infrastructure protection, homeland security, and partner engagement for conferences, workshops, trainings, etc.
  • Support the design, maintenance, and management of information-sharing platforms and programs, including Communities of Interest on the Homeland Security Information Network.
  • Support other homeland security and critical infrastructure protection activities, including state-level disaster responses.
  • Attend work regularly and observe approved work hours in accordance with agency leave and attendance policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS

    Education – Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree is required.

    Experience – Minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in intelligence, disaster preparedness, homeland security, critical infrastructure protection, security, or emergency management required.

    • Experience planning and executing projects and/or events.
    • Experience designing and delivering training/presentations for an adult audience.
    • Experience with engaging and building relationships with external partners preferred.

    Substitution

    Note:

    1 year education may be substituted for each year of experience required, up to 2 years.

    Note:

    30 semester hours will be considered equivalent to 1 year of education.

    Licensure and/or Certification

    Must be able to qualify for a U.S. Government Secret security clearance. If driving is required, must possess a valid driver license from state of residence.
