Position: TDCJ - Staff Services Officer V - Executive Servic

Job Duties:

This position reports to an administrative office and works directly with division leadership. Day-to-day functions include ensuring service coordination and implemented goals continue to be achieved with other state agencies and other agency divisions. This position works with the Reentry Task Force, TCOOMMI Advisory Committee and serves as the legislative liaison. This position develops schedules and operationalizes priorities and standards of excellence.

This position provides general oversight of project and mentor staff as needed. You'd be a GOOD fit if:

You enjoy and understand data driven decision making. You have experience working within governmental agency budget roles; contract oversight, and fiscal management.

You are familiar with operationalizing Texas Government Codes and Administrative Codes. You have experience working with criminal justice agencies to include experience supervising employees. You are organized and detail oriented You have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You'd be a GREAT fit if:

You have at least 4 years of work experience to include two years of full-time experience supervising employees OR a bachelor's degree and two years of full-time experience supervising employees. You are a critical thinker, who is solution oriented through data supported outcomes. Communicates clearly and with understanding verbally and in writing. You have high emotional intelligence; ability to manage your own emotions while recognizing others and responding appropriately.

You understand employee motivation and can serve as a coach and developer of large stake holder groups.
