As a Special Procedures Technologist, you are responsible for operating the imaging equipment and producing radiographs according to the standards and practices set forth by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist. You will assists the radiologist or physician to perform interventional procedures. You will demonstrate knowledge of the human structure and functions, patient care, positioning, principles of radiographic sciences, radiation protection and specialized techniques unique to the Special Procedures environment.
- You will consistently produces films of optimal diagnostic quality on patients ranging from adolescent to geriatric
- You will follow established routine Special Procedures protocols
- You will operate the fluoroscopy and digital equipment efficiently and effectively, demonstrating the ability to trouble-shoot equipment failures
- You will prepare patient and equipment for procedures
- You will anticipate and respond to the needs of the physician, nurse, and scrub tech during the procedure
- You will demonstrate competency and safe, effective working knowledge of Special Procedures equipment
- You will complete required documentation on forms, logs and in computer
