Rehabilitation Specialists provide psychosocial rehabilitative skills training to individuals diagnosed with severe mental illnesses, who may also have co-occurring substance use disorders and/or chronic health conditions. The role utilizes a recovery‑based and trauma‑informed perspective, supports clients in community settings, and requires the use of a personal automobile and cell phone.

Key responsibilities include:

• Work in partnership with racially and culturally diverse individuals to define and facilitate their desired life outcomes.
• Participate in diagnostic evaluations and provide assessment of strengths, preferences, functional impairments, and symptoms of psychiatric and/or co‑occurring disorders at regular intervals to ensure optimal, personalized services.
• Coordinate services with external and internal providers to support independent functioning.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions that foster skills necessary to manage symptoms, obtain and maintain employment or housing, and access essential services (school, medical care, nutritional assistance, financial assistance, transportation, legal assistance).
• Facilitate psychosocial rehabilitative skills training groups and utilize evidence‑based interventions or therapeutic modalities as needed.
• Maintain trauma‑sensitive workplace practices and support a welcoming environment of care.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• License: Current, valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Experience: Bilingual preferred; experience with clients with serious mental illness and co‑occurring disorders is an asset.
• On‑call responsibilities may be required depending on unit protocols.
• Full‑time position requiring regular, predictable attendance; flexible work schedule may be necessary.

• Hours:
  
  Full‑time – Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Salary: $24.18–$25.39 per hour, based on education.
