PurposePerforms radiographic exams to assist in a diagnosis of disease and injuries. Works effectively with patients and patients’ families and maintains a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental personnel. Performs all duties while maintaining compliance and confidentiality and promoting the mission and philosophy of the organization.
Essential Functions- Perform diagnostic X‑ray procedures, including patient positioning and adjusting equipment settings to obtain optimal image quality.
- Qualify images after acquisition.
- Provide appropriate patient protection according to safety standards.
- Notify supervisor of equipment repair needs.
- Maintain compliance with Texas Medical Board and ARRT educational requirements.
- Adhere to all company policies, including OSHA, HIPAA, and the Code of Conduct.
- Maintain reliable attendance.
- Follow core competencies set by the Company.
- Work holiday shifts as required by Company policy.
- Maintain work area cleanliness.
- Stock room supplies.
- Attend required meetings and in‑services.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA‑approved school.
- Experience working with all age groups.
- Familiarity with PACS image retrieval and storage.
- Experience in digital radiography.
- One (1) or more years of related work experience.
- Must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform all diagnostic radiology procedures.
- Customer oriented to provide outstanding services to patients, physicians and co‑workers.
- Maintain awareness of patient privacy, confidentiality and dignity at all times.
- Work in a team environment and/or independently.
- Engage others, listen and adapt responses to meet others’ needs.
- Align actions with team members toward common goals.
- Excellent computer and keyboarding skills, familiarity with Windows.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Manage competing priorities.
- Perform job duties professionally at all times.
- Understand, recall, and communicate factual information.
- Understand, recall, and apply oral and written instructions.
- Organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology.
- Apply common sense in performing tasks.
- Current licensure as a Registered Technologist through the Texas Medical Board.
- Radiological Technologist in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Current AHA approved Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider CPR or completion within 60 days of hire.
Monday through Friday, 8 am – 5 pm.
