This position may perform work both in-person and remotely, as determined by supervisor and the needs of the college. This position may occasionally be required to work additional hours or weekends as needed to complete time-sensitive projects or facilitate events and programs.

This is a fixed term position, with an initial term of 1 year.  Additional time will be dependent on performance, continuation of funding, and mutual agreement.
** Purpose
* * The Postdoctoral Fellow reports to Jie Li, Associate Professor in the College of Pharmacy to investigate natural products biological activities, chemistry, or biosynthesis for drug discovery.
** Responsibilities
* ** Biological evaluations of natural products for drug discovery
* Microbial genome mining for specialized metabolites discovery from human microbiota
* Manuscript preparation for scientific publication
* Generate data and participate in scientific writing to contribute to grant applications
* Additional duties as assigned.
** Required Qualifications
*** PhD (received within 3 years) with a research background in natural products discovery or biological evaluations.
* Proficiency in analyzing microbial genomic or metabolomic data.
* Demonstrated ability to conduct scientific research and report in the form of original research publications.
** Preferred Qualifications
*** PhD and at least one year of experience with bioassays.
* Prior experience in biological evaluations with animal models, as well as strong verbal and writing communication skills.
** Salary Range**·      $54,000+ depending on qualifications
