Job Summary:
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the pharmacy operations and delivering quality pharmaceutical care to our patients. You will work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist and assist in dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently.Maintain proper inventory levels, including receiving and checking in pharmaceutical supplies.Manage medication storage and organization to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.Process prescription orders, including entering information into the pharmacy software system and verifying insurance coverage.Provide information and counseling to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and storage requirements as directed by the pharmacist.Respond to patient inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.Perform routine administrative tasks, such as managing pharmacy records and maintaining patient confidentiality.Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care for patients.Execute other duties as assigned by the supervising pharmacist or pharmacy manager.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a pharmacy technician program is preferred.Valid Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or equivalent) required or in the process of obtaining.Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is a plus.Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.Proficient in using pharmacy software and technology.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and processes is an advantage.Ability to adhere to ethical and legal standards in pharmacy practice.Benefits:
