Position Duration: Expected to Continue (1‑year base, renewable up to 5 years)
Salary: $61,008+ depending on NIH level
PurposeThe Postdoctoral Fellow will work collaboratively with investigators in the Heart Center to generate analyzable clinical data to better understand and improve the patient and family outcomes of those diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease.
Responsibilities- Conduct clinical research under the mentorship of academic clinicians in the TCPCHD.
- Participate in the various aspects of clinical and translational research projects, including study design and development, IRB submission, informed consent, data collection and analysis, abstract submission, data presentation, and manuscript preparation as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Doctoral degree, MD or PhD received within the past 3 years. Experience with the use of electronic medical records and clinical data. Self‑direction, critical thinking skills, and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. High computer proficiency, including basic MS Office, MS Access, graphics, and database software. Basic project management and statistical analysis knowledge.
Preferred QualificationsExperience in Cardiology or Congenital Heart Disease clinical research. Expert skills in statistical analysis, e.g., R Studio, SAS, and experience in coding, e.g., MATLAB, Python, etc.
Working Conditions- May work around standard office conditions.
