X-Ray Technician; LMRT or NCT - Part Time

Summary

Perform radiographic and other diagnostic imaging procedures to assist providers in the diagnosis of injuries and disease. In addition to x‑ray tech duties, this position will also serve as a medical assistant.

• Prepare and position the patient for X‑rays and explain procedures to patients to obtain cooperation
• Adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified area of the body as requested by the provider.
• Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.
• Maintain a neat and clean working environment and ensure all supplies have been ordered and stocked.
• Process images and review for proper identification and quality control.
• Prepare images for reading by provider as well as contact any additional physicians if a second opinion is needed.
• Complete forms and maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed.
• Observe safety and security procedures; promote a safe and pleasant work environment.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation
• Perform other medical assistant duties as requested by the provider

• High School diploma or equivalent, graduation from an accredited school of Radiologic Sciences and Limited Medical Radiology Technician (LMRT) or NCT (Non‑Certified Technician) license in Texas.
• Previous medical clerical experience preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge, e.g., Microsoft Office.
• Positive customer service skills.
