Position Details: 400 bed acute care hospital with a women's tower being built that will add an additional 200 beds. Specialties here include Cardiology with Heart Transplant/LVAD Program, Orthopedics, Neurology, and Oncology. This position will cover acute/intermediate care floors with ICU cross‑coverage as needed and on weekends.

We are seeking a Dietitian Specialist to join our Nutrition Team in an Acute Care setting in Austin, TX.

• Train and mentor patient/resident services staff and interns as applicable
• Foster teamwork and establish effective strategies to implement innovative programs which leads to optimal clinical nutrition and financial outcomes
• Comply with regulatory standards, including federal, state, and accrediting agencies while adhering to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient/resident rights policies
• Participate in patient/resident satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs

• Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing Board, in states where required
• Two (2) years of experience in area of specialty required
• Specialty certification when applicable
• Possess the necessary skills to effectively utilize Microsoft applications, electronic medical record & diet office systems, and nutrient analysis programming
