Texas Neuro Rehab Center is a specialized treatment facility located ten minutes from downtown Austin on 67 wooded acres. We have served the Austin community for over 60-years and are proud of our history and tenured leadership team.
Today, Texas Neuro Rehab Center provides complex medical and brain injury rehab for ages 13 years and older and neurobehavioral residential treatment services for children and adolescents. The capabilities of the facility as a whole allow for integrated and specialized care for children, adolescents and adults facing difficult challenges.

Texas Neuro Rehab Center is currently accepting applications for a Pharmacist - PRN. This candidate will assure that all-patient medication orders are filled as prescribed by physicians for patients of all ages. To maintain the pharmacy work area and pharmacy inventory. To deliver pharmaceuticals to the patient care unit. To maintain all required legal and billing records. To provide pharmaceutical care to all hospital patients.
To supervise overall operation of the pharmacy in conjunction with the Regional Pharmacy Coordinator.

The following are the job requirements for the Pharmacist PRN position:
SKILLS KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Able to set priorities, work independently, and work cooperatively with other staff. Knowledge of dosage requirements and precautions for pediatric, adolescents, adult, geriatric, psychiatric and rehabilitation patients. Good organizational, verbal, and written skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with other members of the multidisciplinary treatment team including supervision of Pharmacy Technicians(s). Competency in dispensing pharmaceuticals and preparing IV admixtures.
Basic competency in computer word processing programs and databases Windows 97 or higher competency preferred.
EDUCATION:
Must be a graduate of an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy with a BS degree or Pharm.
D. degree.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Current Texas Pharmacy License.
EXPERIENCE:
At least one year experience in hospital pharmacy is preferred.
PHYSICAL/GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to sustain physical activity for many hours per day. Able to lift, lower, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Able to stand for extended periods while working. Able to bend, stoop, and perform a full range of body motions. Able to speak clearly and to use the telephone for extended period of time. Able to frequently use hands and fine motor skills to type or use the for extended periods of 7 hours daily.
Able to write legibly. Able to hear, verbally communicate/speak clearly, and vision sufficient to perform essential job functions. Emotional stability sufficient to perform essential job functions and deal with changing priorities. Regular and predictable attendance.
