Medical Assistant (PRN Pool)
Join Austin Regional Clinic: ARC as a Medical Assistant in a PRN Pool schedule. Work Monday‑Friday 8:00‑5:00 pm or after‑hours evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities- Rooms patients, takes vital signs and prepares patients for provider exam.
- Administers medication under physician direction within scope of practice.
- Performs diagnostic testing (EKG, audiogram, spirometry, visual screening) and documents in EPIC EMR.
- Review and manage medication refill requests using ARC refill protocol.
- Manage EPIC triage call basket: callbacks, result notes, and patient communication.
- Maintain room supplies, instruments, and linens; clean patient rooms and laundry cart.
- Follow nursing team leader instructions, clinic protocols and company policies (OSHA, HIPAA, Code of Conduct).
- Provide patient education materials as directed.
- Assist providers with equipment setup, procedures, and documentation.
- Support phone triage, route non‑clinical calls to appropriate staff, and document calls.
- Work holiday shifts as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical Assistant experience, or CNA/EMT/PCT/other direct patient care experience with vitals and medication administration, or graduate of a medical assistant program.
- Six (6) months or more experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
- Medical Assistant certification preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 60 days of hire required.
- Ability to administer medications & injections within scope of position within 90 days of hire.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, excellent organizational and phone listening skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, customer service, interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.
- Computer and keyboarding skills, familiarity with Windows.
- Team‑player with ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
