Texas Neuro Rehab Center is a specialized treatment facility located ten minutes from downtown Austin on 67 wooded acres. Originally a cattle ranch, the land was purchased in 1943 as part of The Brown Schools and has operated as a medical rehabilitation and behavioral healthcare facility for over 80 years.
Today, Texas Neuro Rehab Center provides complex medical and brain and spinal cord injury rehab for ages 13 years and older and neuropsychiatric treatment for youth. The capabilities of the facility as a whole allow for integrated and specialized care for children, adolescents and adults facing difficult challenges.
Texas Neuro Rehab Center is internationally known for improving the quality of life for many children, adolescents and adults, and it will continue to provide innovative approaches to neurobehavioral healthcare.

Texas Neuro Rehab Center is currently accepting applicants for an Admissions Representative
. This candidate will be responsible for the timely processing of inquiry and referral calls, coordinate referrals, and ensure smooth admissions processing for referral sources, families, staff and patients.

KILLS KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to prioritize, work well under periodic stress and pressures. Demonstrates an understanding of funding entities. Basic understanding of computers. Able to work flexible hours. Regular and predictable attendance. Experience with AS4OO and Windows 95 (or higher) computer programs preferred.
EDUCATION: Masters degree
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: LMSW
EXPERIENCE: Six years of experience in admissions or intake position is required, or a degree in a health care related field could substitute for three years of experience in admissions or intake position.
PHYSICAL/GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to sit for 6 to 7 hours a day at a desk and/or table. Ability to walk 3 to 4 hours a day or more through and between hospital departments with intervals of frequent standing, bending, reaching, and stooping to assist patients. Ability to hear and speak clearly over the telephone for 6 to 8 hours a day.
Ability to use office equipment such as computers, telephone, or copier. Ability to be emotionally stable to accommodate frustrated or angry clients on the telephone and in person in a calm manner.
