POSITION SUMMARY:
Lead Therapist at Austin Oaks Hospital provides psychotherapy and clinical case management to patients and families, assists the Director of Clinical Services with training and oversight of clinical staff, and contributes to effective leadership and communication within the organization. This role requires strong clinical skills, leadership abilities, and the ability to work collaboratively within the healthcare team. The position covers the Director s responsibilities in their absence.
QualificationsEDUCATION:
Masters Degree in Behavioral Health field.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION:
Licensed by the State of Texas in Social Work, Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy.
LMSW (currently in LCSW supervision), LPC-A or LMFT-A required.
LCSW, LPC or LMFT preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
One to three years of work experience providing individual, group and family therapy, case management and discharge planning in an inpatient or outpatient psychiatric facility; familiarity with ethical and legal issues regarding reporting of abuse and neglect.
