Equipment Associate supporting R&D laboratory instrumentation in Austin, TX, responsible for installation, calibration, maintenance, repair, and documentation of lab equipment. Primary objective s include ensuring equipment operates safely, reliably, and in compliance with quality and regulatory standards, supporting laboratory activities such as safety audits, inventory management, and supply ordering.
Responsibilities- coordinating equipment qualifications (IQ/OQ/PQ), troubleshooting issues, liaising with vendors, maintaining preventive maintenance programs, and supporting safety checks.
- BS/BA in biomedical engineering, biological sciences, or related field; industry-related experience preferred.
- excellent communication, organization, attention to detail, adaptability, and professionalism.
- familiarity with IQ/OQ/PQ, biosafety requirements, molecular biology techniques (DNA isolation, PCR, NGS), and LIMS.
- Experience with high-throughput automation is advantageous.
