The RoleWe are expanding our Technology & IT recruitment team in Austin, offering a unique opportunity to build and scale relationships across one of the fastest-growing sectors in the US. With deep market demand for top tech talent, you ll step into an established business with live client needs and the support of one of Oscar s most experienced teams.
You ll be working directly alongside a senior recruiter with a strong track record in technology recruitment. Expect to recruit for roles such as Software Engineers, Dev Ops, Cloud Architects, IT Project Managers, and other in-demand technical specialists. Typical placement fees average $20k-$25k, with short hiring cycles and strong repeat business from trusted clients.
This is a fast-paced, high-growth industry where client demand far outweighs supply-meaning you ll be able to quickly build a strong candidate network, make placements, and scale your desk with speed.
Your Responsibilities- Identifying top tech talent using advanced search techniques across Linked In Recruiter, job boards, referrals, and Boolean search
- Building and maintaining strong candidate pipelines across Software, Cloud, Infrastructure, and IT disciplines
- Writing compelling job ads and content to attract candidates
- Qualifying candidates through in-depth conversations and technical understanding
- Negotiating offers and managing the end-to-end recruitment process
- Cold calling, networking, and leveraging market intel to build relationships with hiring managers
- Keeping CRM data accurate and up to date while driving consistent business activity
- Previous experience working for a recruitment agency (1+ years minimum, ideally in tech/IT)
- A passion for candidate placement and long-term relationship building
- Resilience, positivity, and strong commercial drive
- Curiosity and willingness to learn technical markets quickly
- Competitive mindset with clear personal and financial goals
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence outcomes
