The Senior Human Resources Coordinator oversees HR functions for a designated department and provides guidance on recruitment, compensation, and performance management. This role ensures compliance with university policies and regulations (ADA, FLSA, EEO, and USCIS) while advising on hiring, research assignments, leave management, and employee relations. Key responsibilities include staffing projections, research position management, affiliate assignments, applicant screening, policy compliance, making appropriate HR analyses/recommendations to departments, and resolving HR issues.
The coordinator monitors staff turnover, develops intervention strategies, conducts training, and represents the department on university HR committees.
- This position works closely with various Organizational Research Units (ORUs) and business units (Departments (Depts) and Dean of Engineering (DOE)) to deliver proactive, high-quality, and timely human resources knowledge and services throughout the lifecycle of human resources. Responsibilities include staffing projections, recruitment strategies, applicant tracking, compensation analysis, and managing assignments for students, staff, and affiliates. The role also involves coordinating professional research positions while ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, University policies, and College procedures.
