Who We Are

At Elliron Residential, we are building more than communities. We are building trust, partnership, and long-term value. Our vision is simple: where excellence feels personal. Our mission is to be the multifamily property management firm owners are proud to partner with, and that top industry talent strives to join, because we raise the bar for uncompromising integrity, operational excellence, and team empowerment.

Those aren't just words on a wall. They're the standards we live every day. If that's how you work too, we want to meet you.

The Role

The HR Manager leads the people function across our multi-entity residential property management portfolio, supporting corporate teams and site teams at communities across Texas. This is a hands-on leadership role: you will set direction for HR and do the work, serving as the trusted advisor to executive leadership, regional leaders, and community managers.

You will own the full employee lifecycle, from recruiting and onboarding through employee relations, leave, benefits, performance, and separation. The role is based in Austin with periodic travel to properties in the Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas-Fort Worth areas.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Employee Relations and Compliance

  • Serve as the primary HR advisor to ownership, executive leadership, and regional managers on people decisions
  • Lead employee relations intake, workplace investigations, and written findings, partnering with outside employment counsel when needed
  • Guide managers through corrective action, performance improvement plans, and separations, and own the documentation
  • Respond to unemployment claims, wage claims, and agency charges
  • Keep policies, the handbook, and practices compliant with federal and Texas employment law

Leave, Benefits, and Payroll

  • Administer FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers' compensation, and return-to-work processes
  • Partner with our PEO on payroll, benefits, and compliance across all entities
  • Lead annual open enrollment and day-to-day benefits administration, including carrier billing reconciliation
  • Oversee payroll inputs, personnel change notices, and expense and mileage processing

Talent Acquisition and Onboarding

  • Own recruiting strategy and job board budget for site and corporate roles
  • Manage background screening and the FCRA adverse action process
  • Lead onboarding for new hires and for property acquisitions and transitions, including large group conversions
  • Maintain offer letter templates, new hire documentation, and I-9 compliance

Performance, Culture, and HR Infrastructure

  • Run the annual performance evaluation cycle and maintain role expectation documents for every position
  • Build and maintain the HR document library: policies, SOPs, forms, and templates
  • Drive culture and engagement initiatives tied to our core values, including team events and recognition programs
  • Track HR metrics and staffing across the portfolio and report to leadership
What We're Looking For
  • Five or more years of progressive HR experience, including at least two years as an HR lead or sole practitioner
  • Experience supporting a multi-site, hourly, or field-based workforce; multifamily property management strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, FCRA, and Texas employment law
  • Demonstrated experience conducting workplace investigations and documenting employee relations matters
  • Experience partnering with a PEO on payroll and benefits
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort building templates, trackers, and process documentation
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to deliver difficult messages with care
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Familiarity with Real Page or Yardi a plus
  • Reliable transportation
What You'll Get
  • Health, dental, vision, pet, life, disability, and 401(k)
  • Paid holidays and PTO, with accrual that increases with tenure
  • Leadership development and skills training
  • Company events, holiday savings program
  • A real path upward, we promote from within
