SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to support our database infrastructure and ensure optimal performance, availability, and security. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in Postgre

SQL administration and have hands-on experience managing databases in high-availability, production environments.

• Install, configure, and maintain Postgre
  
  SQL databases across development, testing, and production environments.
• Perform regular database maintenance tasks including backups, restores, vacuuming, and indexing.
• Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing strategies, and configuration adjustments.
• Monitor database health and respond to performance alerts and outages.
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery planning, including replication and failover configuration.
• Implement and maintain security best practices for data protection and access control.
• Collaborate with development and Dev Ops teams to support database-related needs in CI/CD pipelines.
• Write and maintain documentation on processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.

• Proven experience as a Postgre
  
  SQL DBA in production environments.
• Deep understanding of Postgre
  
  SQL architecture, internals, and best practices.
• Proficiency with Postgre
  
  SQL tools such as pg Admin, pgBackRest, pg Bouncer, etc.
• Strong experience with backup/recovery, replication, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing.
• Experience with Linux-based systems and scripting (Bash, Python preferred).
• Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite 5 days/week in either Austin, TX or Cupertino, CA.

• Experience with migration projects (e.g., Oracle to Postgre
  
  SQL).
• Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, and modern Dev Ops tools.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or New Relic.
