Our client, a global Automotive company, located in Austin, TX, is seeking a Sr. Java Developer for a contract to hire position.

Job Description

The candidate will be participating in the detailed design, prototyping and implementation of acquired software.

Qualifications

Demonstrated Experience from at least two areas:

Frameworks:
Struts, Spring, .NET, Jquery, ExtJS
Databases:
Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, PL/SQL Programming, Stored Procedure Development, Performance Tuning, Data warehouses/ETL tools
Other:
Business Intelligence, Mobile Development, Oracle SOA, SAP, Peoplesoft, Teamcenter/NX
Tools: QC/ALM, Performance Center, QTP, Selenium, Subversion, Rally, Teamforge, Rational suite, Hudson/Jenkins, Sonar

Preferred Skills and Experience

Ability to learn new programming languages quickly.

Good knowledge of mathematical and statistical principles and formulas.

Assists the Associate Eng in designing programs and databases.

Demonstrated ability to write, edit, and debug software to achieve desired output.

Working closely with management team in evaluating current systems and making decisions on future development.

Providing advice, training and technical support for various projects.

Experience and ability to teach or instruct co-workers.

Ability to understand what code scales well and what does not

Ability to document what needs to be done

Ability to document what you have done.

Education and Training

Bachelor's degree in technical discipline preferred or equivalent experience required.

Typical experience: 3-5 years in the business environment
