Job Description:
This prestigious law firm located in Austin is seeking a highly skilled Information Governance Specialist. The Information Governance Specialist’s primary purpose is to assist in the implementation of an enterprise data governance program.
This position assists with the creation, tracking, release and retention processes of physical and electronic files.
Responsibilities
:
- Conduct testing and training for the department’s record management system (RMS) upgrades
- Assist with creating departmental reference material for the RMS
- Conduct data entry audits to ensure quality information is being captured in the RMS
- Assist with preparation of files for off-site storage
- Execute electronic and physical client file releases in accordance with our Information Governance policies
- Review and analyze data, accurately identify trends and resolve problems
- Assist with client file data entry and destruction
Requirements
:
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience related to records and information management preferred.
- 1-2 years of office, records and information management experience
- Strong analytical and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to handle tasks with minimal supervision
- Ability to deliver a high level of customer service
- Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Project and Outlook
