Job Description & How to Apply Below

Front-End Engineer
• Austin United States

We are seeking a deeply technical and innovative Front End Developer to join a specialized team responsible for the architectural migration of high-visibility marketing pages for a major global technology client. In this role, you will move from a legacy static HTML environment to a modern, scalable React-based architecture with Server‑Side Rendering (SSR). You will partner closely with Design and Engineering leads to build data‑driven, atomic UI components that consume structured content from a proprietary Headless CMS.

You must be comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Component Architecture & Development:
Design and build a library of shared, atomic, and composable UI components using React and Type Script. Ensure components are accessible and responsive across all viewports.
  • Headless CMS Integration:
Develop components that programmatically consume JSON data from the API, decoupling content from presentation. Work with JSON schemas to validate data structures.
  • Migration & Re‑platforming:
Lead the migration of existing pages from legacy builds to the new data‑driven architecture.
  • Documentation & Tooling:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for components using Storybook, detailing usage, variants, and integration points for future developers. Manage package publishing via advanced NPM/Artifactory workflows.
  • Quality & Optimization:
Deliver pixel‑perfect implementations. Ensure strict adherence to WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and SEO technical requirements.
  • Collaboration:

Work closely with QA to resolve defects within a 24‑hour SLA. Collaborate with designers in a Shift Left mentality to ensure technical feasibility early in the process.
Must‑Have Expertise
  • Core Stack:
Senior‑level mastery of React (life cycles, hooks, custom hooks) and Type Script (strong typing, interfaces).
  • SSR

    Experience:

Proven production experience with Server‑Side Rendering frameworks (e.g., Next.js, Remix).
  • Styling:
Deep expertise in Utility‑first CSS (Tailwind) or CSS Modules to create modular, non‑conflicting styles.
  • Headless CMS & Data:
Experience working with Headless CMS platforms (e.g., Strapi, Contentful, Sanity) and a solid understanding of consuming and validating JSON schemas.
  • Testing:
Ability to write and maintain robust unit tests (Jest, React Testing Library).
  • Workflow:
Proficiency with Storybook for component development and documentation. Experience with Git workflows.
  • Visual Precision:
Ability to translate designs from Figma/Sketch into code with high fidelity (pixel precision).
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
  • Performance Engineering:
Advanced knowledge of React profiling, rendering optimization, and bundle splitting.
  • SEO:
    Technical SEO implementation experience.
What We Offer
  • Excellent, full coverage medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Generous PTO and 15 company‑wide holidays
  • 401k with company contribution
