Responsibilities- Advanced Analytics & Modeling
- Tackle complex problems by selecting and applying the right mathematical approaches and machine learning models across structured and unstructured data.
- Design, train, test, and tune machine learning models for threat intelligence, incident detection, alerting, risk scoring, and more.
- Build prototypes to validate model performance and feasibility.
- Design and implement preprocessing pipelines and feature engineering workflows.
- Define quantitative metrics to track model accuracy, performance, and business impact.
- Create and maintain clear internal, external, and compliance documentation on models.
- Cross-Functional Problem Solving
- Translate customer and internal needs into analytically driven questions.
- Rapidly spin up MVPs to test solutions.
- Propose and prototype new data sources and features.
- Work with engineers to support deployment of production‑grade models.
- Ensure data science work aligns with product and strategic goals.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, research, and customer‑facing teams.
- Communicate and Advocate
- Communicate analytic and modeling design choices and rationale to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Maintain cross‑functional feedback loops, both internal and with select customers, to evaluate the technical and contextual success of data science products.
- Deep expertise in applied math (linear algebra, calculus, statistics, optimization, graph theory) and the ability to select appropriate modeling approaches.
- Minimum 5 years in data science or analytics with proven success in designing, training, and evaluating ML models.
- Strong coding skills, especially in Python using PyTorch/Tensor Flow, scikit‑learn, XGBoost, and related libraries.
- Excellent communication skills; adept at translating complex analyses into digestible recommendations for diverse teams.
- Comfortable owning and driving projects in a fast‑paced, high‑stakes environment.
- Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) algorithms, such as text classification and NLP‑based threat tagging.
- Data engineering experience or ELT/data pipeline creation.
- Domain experience in cybersecurity, threat intelligence, account takeover, ransomware analysis, or related fields.
- Familiarity with graph analytics, knowledge graphs, or cybersecurity ontologies (e.g., MITRE ATTACK).
