Our client is seeking a motivated Junior Software Engineer for a long-term contract position based in Dallas, TX. This entry-level opportunity is ideal for candidates with foundational knowledge in C/C++, PL/SQL/SQL, and UNIX/Linux, and a keen interest in the telecommunications domain. You will join a collaborative team environment, participating in structured development and internal training programs to strengthen your technical and domain expertise.

• Develop clean, efficient, and maintainable code in C/C++, PL/SQL, and SQL to support system enhancement and migration initiatives.
• Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining Oracle database objects, including stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Support configuration and basic management of web and application servers such as Apache HTTP Server and Tomcat.
• Create and maintain automated scripts and scheduled jobs using UNIX/Linux shell scripting to improve system reliability and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in an internal training program to strengthen technical and domain knowledge.
• Apply foundational understanding of telecommunications concepts to support development and troubleshooting tasks.

• Basic working knowledge of C/C++ (primary skill).
• Familiarity with UNIX/Linux operating systems and basic shell commands.
• Foundational knowledge of SQL/PLSQL.
• Willingness to learn telecom domain concepts.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
• Academic or project exposure to telecommunications systems or protocols (preferred).
• Experience with any scripting (UNIX/Linux preferred) (preferred).
• Exposure to Oracle or similar relational databases (preferred).
