Tableau Dashboard Developer

Neos is seeking a Tableau Dashboard Developer for a contract role with our client in Austin, TX. The primary work location is 111 E 17th Street, Austin, TX 78711. This position is Hybrid – On Site and Telework. Candidates living 50+ miles from the LBJ Building are required to attend in person once per month. Candidates residing within the Austin area must be in the office 2 to 3 times per week.

• Develop and implement advanced/innovative analytical dashboards in Tableau based on functional specifications from users, groups, and/or organizations.
• Ensure dashboards needs are assessed, documented, designed, developed, and implemented as part of the project team.
• Cross‑train and transfer knowledge to current CPA staff.
• Expertise with Advanced SQL.
• Working knowledge of Python.
• Work with the cross‑functional business team to understand business problems and design best reporting solutions.
• Preferred knowledge of Qlik View, Qlik Sense, SAS, or other similar Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
• Analyze requirements and specifications, develop, design, and coordinate the implementation of business intelligence reports and/or visualizations.
• Work with business customers, managers, analysts, and subject matter experts professionally and collaboratively to gather requirements/strategies for report development.
• Translate requirements into advanced database and business intelligence components design.
• Work with relational databases including SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, and others.
• Address and resolve complex technical issues with internal/external customers, build good communication protocols, and update the management team with weekly/monthly status.
• Perform extensive code reviews and analysis.
• Adhere to software development lifecycle processes.
• Prepare detailed documentation and transition knowledge to current staff.
• Present and demonstrate business intelligence reports and visualizations to business customers and managers.
• Be quality conscious and dedicated to delivering superior products on time and within budget.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Work independently in a diverse team environment with local and remote teams.

• 5 years of experience working with Advanced SQL.
• 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence Report development and implementation in Tableau, including use of Tableau Prep.
• 5 years of experience with Business/System/Data Analysis and improvement.
• 5 years of extensive knowledge of/experience with data integration, data quality, multi‑dimensional design and ETL tools, processes, and methodology.
• 3 years of experience with BI visualization development tools such as Qlik, Tableau, and SAS.
• 3 years of extensive experience with highly complex application security requirements.
• 3 years of proficiency in multiple database technologies such as Oracle, DB2, and MS SQL.
• 3 years of experience with Agile framework both in Kanban and Scrum to track various assignments and projects.
• 2 years of experience with Python.
• Preferred: 2 years of public sector experience (Federal, State or Local Government).
• Preferred: 2 years of proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, TEAMS, Microsoft Project, Word, Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint.
