Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Engineer to manage, optimize, and secure our on-prem and hybrid cloud environments spanning both Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. You will play a crucial role in supporting our Clients, enabling our teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and cost‑efficient solutions for multiple Client Environments.
Responsibilities- Provide expert‑level technical support to resolve complex IT issues escalated from Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
- Analyze and resolve complex technical problems related to hardware, software, network, and applications promptly and effectively.
- Lead the resolution of critical incidents, identifying root causes and implementing permanent fixes to prevent future occurrences.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and application issues across the organization’s IT environment.
- Monitor and maintain the organization’s servers, networks, and systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability.
- Liaise with third‑party vendors and service providers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring effective communication and timely resolution.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date documentation of IT processes, procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams to enhance their technical skills and capabilities.
- Assist in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments.
- Monitor system performance trends and collaborate with relevant teams to anticipate and address capacity requirements.
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable, highly available, and fault‑tolerant infrastructure across AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC) and Azure (Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure SQL Database, Virtual Network).
- Develop, maintain, and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform to ensure consistency, repeatability, and version control across both AWS and Azure environments.
- Oversee and execute the migration of on‑premises workloads and existing applications to both AWS and Azure platforms, including configuring hybrid connectivity.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (AWS EKS, Azure AKS) and implement serverless solutions (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions) to optimize performance and cost.
- Build and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure Dev Ops, Jenkins, or AWS Code Pipeline to automate application deployment and infrastructure changes.
- Write and maintain automation scripts using Python, Power Shell, or Bash to streamline operational tasks and reduce manual effort.
- Assist Clients with advanced SQL issues, provide database optimizations, and offer advanced guidance to better utilize SQL environments.
- Utilize configuration management tools like Ansible to manage and maintain operating systems and applications within the cloud environment.
- Implement and manage robust security policies, including Identity and Access Management (IAM, Azure AD, RBAC), network security (VPC, VNet, Security Groups, NSGs), encryption, and compliance controls across both cloud providers.
- Configure and manage comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions using platform‑native tools (AWS Cloud Watch, Azure Monitor) and third‑party tools (Datadog, Splunk) to ensure continuous operational health.
- Continuously monitor and analyze cloud spending, recommending and implementing optimization strategies (resource right‑sizing, reserved instances, storage tiering) to ensure cost‑efficiency.
- Participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation to respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve critical incidents in a timely manner.
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience as an Infrastructure/Cloud Engineer or similar role, with a minimum of 3 years of Tier 3 support and system management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
