This role will be based in one of our U.S. offices on a hybrid basis. This role reports to the Director of Innovation and Client Value.

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer to design, develop and maintain intelligent automation solutions that streamline operations, enhance client service delivery and improve internal efficiencies. This role requires hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure and Power Platform technologies as well as third‑party automation tools.

• Builds and maintains automation workflows using Microsoft Azure services (Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, Data Factory)
• Develops solutions within the Power Platform environment (Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse)
• Integrates third‑party RPA/automation platforms to extend automation capabilities.

• Creates robust integrations across diverse systems using APIs, scripting (e.g. Power Shell, Python) and orchestration tools
• Ensures seamless data flow and process automation across legal, financial and operational systems

• Works closely with business stakeholders, legal teams and IT to understand requirements and deliver impactful automation solutions
• Translates business needs into technical specifications and scalable automation designs

• Ensures all solutions comply with firm‑wide security, compliance and governance standards.
• Monitors and optimizes automation performance, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement
• Maintains documentation and contributes to knowledge‑sharing culture

• Microsoft Azure (Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, Data Factory)
• Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse)
• RPA tools (e.g. UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism)
• Ability to successfully adapt to changing priorities and work demands
• Work under pressure to meet strict deadlines, effectively prioritise multiple tasks
• Experience in a fast‑paced law firm environment with diverse needs
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and collaboration skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
• Minimum of 35 years of hands‑on experience in automation engineering or a related field
• Experience working in a legal or professional services environment is a plus

• Experience with scripting languages (Power Shell, Python, JavaScript)
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration patterns
• Understanding of enterprise security compliance and governance frameworks

$78,000 - $86,000 per year

Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location and other job‑related factors permitted by law.
