Network Security Architect; Austin

Overview

Our client, a fast-growing financial services organization, is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect to help design and advance its enterprise security posture. This is a high-impact role for someone who blends strategic architecture with hands-on execution across on-prem and multi-cloud environments.

Youll have enterprise-level visibility and influence, working at the intersection of cloud security, zero trust, AI-driven initiatives, and large-scale digital transformation, with the opportunity to shape security strategy as the organization continues to scale.

• Design and evolve security architecture across on-prem, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
• Embed security-by-design into new initiatives and align with regulatory frameworks.
• Develop zero trust and defense-in-depth strategies.
• Lead architecture reviews and threat modeling for applications, platforms, and emerging technologies, including AI / ML.
• Partner with AI / ML teams to secure data pipelines, models, and deployments.
• Drive automation across detection, response, and compliance.
• Evaluate and integrate AI-driven security tools.
• Serve as the technical security lead on cross-functional initiatives.
• Provide clear, risk-based guidance to technical and business stakeholders.
• Mentor security engineers and collaborate with IT, Cloud, and Network teams on secure automation.
• Evaluate new technologies and lead proofs of concept.

• 8+ years in cybersecurity, including 3+ years at the architect level.
• Experience securing on-prem and multi-cloud environments.
• Strong background in network, systems, application, and zero trust security.
• Familiarity with AI / ML security and regulated environments.
• Preferred certifications: CISSP, CCSP, AWS / Azure / GCP Security.
