Scismic is supporting the growth of a clinical technology company! This role will guide the user experience strategy and execution for customer-facing tools. The role requires detailed analysis of product behavior, workflow design, and user journey mapping to identify and refine features that advance client and patient outcomes. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on problem‑solver who can navigate complex systems, champion user needs, and deliver consistent, high‑quality UX design while driving efficient collaboration across teams.

Strategic Responsibilities- Develop a clear understanding of business needs, customer expectations, and technical constraints to guide UX research and design decisions.
- Build strong working relationships with product, engineering, and content stakeholders.
- Represent user needs throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring solutions are validated with customers and maintain a unified experience across touchpoints.
- Plan and facilitate collaborative workshops to align cross‑functional teams on product vision and strategy.
- Create conceptual models, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity designs.
- Partner with engineering teams to ensure designs are implemented accurately.
- Establish and refine UX workflows, methodologies, and documentation standards.
- Oversee multiple concurrent initiatives and balance shifting priorities.
- Apply and expand the company’s design system to improve consistency and scalability across products.
- Identify research needs and propose appropriate methods based on product goals.
- Develop research plans in partnership with product managers and other team members.
- Lead end‑to‑end research efforts, including executing studies directly and involving team members in the process.
- Translate research findings into practical, actionable guidance for product teams.
- 10+ years of UX design experience, preferably within agile product development environments.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Interaction Design, Product Design, Human‑Computer Interaction, Information Architecture, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Lean UX and Lean Product principles.
- Strong grasp of visual design fundamentals including typography, color, layout, and motion.
- Enthusiasm for technology, design innovation, and complex problem‑solving.
- Experience or familiarity with healthcare data, terminology, payer/provider workflows, and value‑based care models (preferred but not required).
- Experience working with EHR systems, APIs, and interoperability standards (preferred).
- Highly collaborative, open to feedback, and proactive in sharing knowledge.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to independently drive work forward with minimal direction.
- Experience thriving in distributed, multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Skills proficiency working with and contributing to design systems.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Understanding of customer analytics tools and research methodologies; able to interpret both qualitative and quantitative data.
- Advanced expertise in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with agile development workflows and managing complex requirements.
- Competence with Microsoft Office applications.
- Working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS
