Overview

The Business Intelligence Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data models, dashboards, and reports that empower stakeholders to make informed business decisions. This role requires strong expertise in Power BI or Tableau, along with a solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and analytics best practices. The BI Engineer will collaborate closely with business teams, data engineers, and analysts to translate requirements into effective visualizations and insights.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations in Power BI or Tableau.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
  • Build and optimize data models for performance and scalability.
  • Implement ETL processes to prepare and transform data for reporting.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security in all BI solutions.
  • Perform root-cause analysis for data issues and troubleshoot dashboard/report errors.
  • Automate recurring reports and processes where possible.
  • Stay updated on the latest features and best practices in BI tools and data visualization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or related role.
  • Proven track record in developing BI solutions using Power BI or Tableau.
Technical Skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI or Tableau (DAX, calculated fields, parameters, data blending, etc.).
  • Strong SQL skills for querying and manipulating data.
  • Experience with data modeling and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Snowflake, Redshift).
  • Knowledge of ETL tools and processes.
  • Understanding of data visualization best practices and storytelling with data.
