SII Group USA is seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator with a strong cloud engineering background to support and enhance mission‑critical applications. This role focuses on AWS RDS (MySQL/Aurora), performance tuning, HA/DR, automation, and Dev Ops integration.

• Optimize performance & queries, plan capacity, and automate workflows
• Lead data migrations, schema upgrades & ETL initiatives
• Implement HA/DR, backups, and security best practices (IAM, encryption)
• Troubleshoot complex database issues with minimal oversight
• Build automation tools (Lambda, scripting, Dev Ops pipelines)
• Support reporting platforms and integration of new features
• Collaborate with Dev Ops teams on CI/CD
• Participate in Tier 2/3 on‑call rotations
• Document procedures & drive process improvements

• Degree in CS, Computer Engineering, or related
• 5+ years of cloud DB experience
• Strong expertise in:
  • AWS RDS (MySQL & Aurora)
  • DB performance tuning
  • Terraform or similar IaC
  • CI/CD & Dev Ops tools
  • Experience with HA/DR, Cloud Watch, AWS Backup, Lambda, SQL scripting
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication & collaboration skills
