Job Description

Responsibilities- Use existing procedures and tools to develop and safely execute network changes; may also develop new procedures as required.
- Develop solutions to enable front‑line support teams to act on network failure conditions.
- Troubleshoot complex cabling connectivity issues in data centers, coordinating on‑site efforts between L1 teams and TPMs.
- Travel to data center locations as required (approximately 25% travel).
- Maintain strong documentation, communication, and adherence to safety/compliance standards.
- Participate in operational rotations as primary or secondary team member.
- Provide break‑fix support for events following runbooks; serve as escalation point for event remediation and participate in post‑event root‑cause analysis.
- Develop scripts to automate routine tasks for the team and business units.
- Coordinate with networking automation services for the development and integration of support tooling.
- Coordinate with network monitoring to gather telemetry and create alert rules.
- Build dashboards to represent data at various network layers and device roles to help identify network issues and anomalies.
- Collaborate with network vendor technical account teams and internal QA teams to drive bug resolution and assist in qualification of new firmware and/or operating systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in CS or related engineering field with 2+ years of network engineering experience, or master’s with 1+ years of experience.
- Experience working in a large ISP or cloud provider environment; RDMA networking experience is a plus.
- Experience working in a network operations role.
- Knowledge of routing protocols such as TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP.
- Experience with scripting or automation and data center design;
Python preferred but must demonstrate expertise in scripting or compiled language. - Experience with network monitoring and telemetry solutions.
Experience with network modeling and programming such as YANG, Open Config, NETCONF. - Ability to apply professional concepts and company objectives to resolve issues creatively and effectively.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Participate in an on‑call rotation.
Certain US customer or client‑facing roles may be required to comply with applicable requirements, such as immunization and occupational health mandates.
Compensation & BenefitsSalary range: $38.03 – $76.06 per hour ($79,100 – $158,200 per year). May be eligible for equity.
