We support the design, deployment, and operation of a large‑scale global Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The focus is on the development and support of network fabric and systems, leveraging deep understanding of networking protocols combined with programming skills. OCI includes thousands of network devices supporting millions of servers, connected over a mix of dedicated backbone infrastructure, ClouD Network, and the Internet.
Responsibilities- Use existing procedures and tools to develop and execute network changes; occasionally develop new procedures.
- Develop solutions to enable front‑line support teams to act on network failure conditions.
- Troubleshoot complex connectivity in data centers and coordinate on‑site efforts between L1 teams and TPMs.
- Travel to data center locations as required (up to 25% travel).
- Maintain strong documentation, communication, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.
- Participate in operational rotations as primary or secondary.
- Provide break‑fix support for events following runbooks and serve as the escalation point for event remediation; participate in post‑event root cause analysis.
- Develop scripts to automate routine tasks for the team and business units.
- Coordinate with networking automation services for the development and integration of support tooling.
- Fuse network monitoring data to create telemetry and alert rules.
- Create dashboards representing data at various network layers and device roles to help identify network issues and anomalies.
- Collaborate with vendor technical account teams and internal QA to drive bug resolution and assist in qualification of new firmware and operating systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related engineering field with 2+ years of Network Engineering experience, or Master’s with 1+ years of experience.
- Experience in a large ISP or cloud provider environment. RDMA networking experience a plus.
- Experience in a network operations role.
- Knowledge of routing protocols and networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP.
- Experience with scripting or automation;
Python preferred, but demonstrated expertise in any scripting or compiled language acceptable. - Experience with network monitoring and telemetry solutions.
- Experience with network modeling and programming such as YANG, Open Config, NETCONF.
- Ability to apply professional concepts and company objectives to resolve issues in creative and effective ways.

Salary Range (US): $38.03 - $76.06 per hour; $79,100 - $158,200 per year. Eligibility for equity may apply.
