Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid – 3 Days Remote, 2 Days Onsite Mondays & Fridays)
Duration: 12+ Months (Multi-Year Project)

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator 2 to support critical enterprise applications within a public sector environment. This hybrid role is based in Austin, TX, with 2 days of onsite work required every Monday and Friday. Only candidates currently residing in the Austin area will be considered.

This individual will work within the Production Data Services team, supporting operational and on-call needs for complex Oracle-based databases and participating in ongoing performance tuning, optimization, and modeling efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support, maintain, and tune Oracle databases across production, development, and UAT environments
• Provide operational support, including backup monitoring and issue resolution
• Collaborate on data modeling and database design (logical and physical)
• Create and maintain Oracle Stored Procedures and Functions
• Monitor and enhance database performance during and after migrations
• Generate and manage schema statistics and database scripts
• Support Data Warehouse requests and reporting initiatives
• Participate in on-call support rotations
• Ensure compliance with accessibility standards in all user interfaces

Years Required/Preferred Experience 6 Required Experience in Oracle database design, analysis, and performance tuning 6 Required Experience in Oracle database structures, data analysis, performance tuning 6 Required Experience designing enterprise applications and/or services 6 Required Experience creating technical and functional design documentation 6 Required

Experience with in software development Life Cycle using Agile methodology – (Scrum, for example) 6 Required

Experience with multi-tier system/application development – (SOA, Microservices, 3-Tier applications, for example) 4

Preferred Experience with data warehouse applications and/or database reporting features 1 Preferred Jira experience 1 Preferred Oracle Certification
