We are seeking a skilled Dev Ops Engineer with a strong background in backend engineering, specializing in application deployment, automated continuous integration testing, and performance monitoring. The ideal candidate will ensure the visibility of key metrics to inform developers  decision-making processes.

Rate: $45 - $50 an hour

Note:

This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis and convert to full-time employment after the contract duration. For W2 consultants, a benefits package is offered (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k with company matching, and life insurance).

• Technology Knowledge:
  Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills on existing and emerging agile best practices, relevant technologies, and security best practices.

• Version Control: Proficiency with version control systems like Git for collaborative development and managing codebase changes.
• Terraform: Basic understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and experience with Terraform for provisioning and managing infrastructure resources on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• CI/CD Pipelines:
  
  Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git Hub Actions, Circle
  
  CI, Git Lab CI/CD, ArgoCD, and Jenkins.
• Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Go, and Power Shell.
• Linux & System Administration: Strong understanding of file systems, process management, and performance tuning.
• AWS Services: Familiarity with core AWS services, including AWS Lambda, S3, API Gateway, Dynamo
  
  DB, EC2, RDS, Cloud Front, and Cloud Watch.
• Database Management:
  
  Experience with Postgre
  
  SQL, MySQL, Mongo
  
  DB, and Redis.

• Required Experience:
  
  5 years of experience with AWS, infrastructure as code (Terraform, Cloud Formation, etc.), CI/CD pipelines (Git Hub Actions, Circle
  
  CI, etc.), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.), and scripting (Python, Bash, etc.).
• 3 years of experience with Type Script/JavaScript.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

• AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer or equivalent

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
