Neos is seeking a Sr Business Analyst for a long term contract with our client in Austin, TX.

Only local candidates need apply, the position requires onsite 5 days per week

The Business Analyst will support higher education policy initiatives, data‑driven decision‑making, and process improvements. This role involves gathering business requirements, documenting workflows and business processes, analyzing data trends, developing reports and dashboards, and collaborating closely with stakeholders to enhance higher education programs and initiatives.

Ideal candidate will have experience serving as the primary, or sole, business analyst to gather requirements for a custom-built application in Salesforce, preferably within a government environment. Focus on user interface and workflow analysis, process optimization, and stakeholder communication.

• 8+ years experience executing the business analysis and documentation of requirements and process for IT and business solutions that will meet Program, ITS, and User needs.
• 8+ years experience working on complex projects throughout all development phases, ensuring timely completion within budget.
• 8+ years excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging all levels of stakeholders.
• 8+ years ability to translate complex data and business requirements into actionable development backlog.
• 8+ years strong problem‑solving skills with attention to detail and demonstrated ability in conflict resolution.
• 4+ years experience working in Salesforce.
• 2+ years proficiency in Visio or other process workflow tools.
• 2+ years experience working with confidential data and implementing information security processes.
• 2+ years experience with Azure Dev Ops user story development.
• 4+ years preferred experience in Agile development and backlogs.
• 4+ years preferred experience working in public sector.
• 1+ year preferred experience familiarity with the Texas State Legislative Process in state agencies.
