Job Title: Drone Maintenance Technician
Location: Austin, TX
Pay Rate: $28/hr.
Duration: 6 months (Extension possible, Conversion possible)
The Support Engineer II is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of desktop computers, peripherals, software, and related systems. This role ensures timely resolution of hardware, software, and user permission issues, along with routine hardware maintenance, while maintaining a strong customer focus.
Top 3 Must-Have HardSkills:
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop/laptop computers, peripherals, and software.
- Resolve hardware, software, and user access issues in a timely manner.
- Support Windows XP/7 and Server operating systems in a managed desktop environment.
- Support Macintosh OS X (10.4 and upwards) is desirable.
- Basic working knowledge of Linux/UNIX systems (Red Hat preferred) at a user level.
- Demonstrate solid knowledge of networks, including Ethernet, TCP/IP, and Windows Server networking.
- Maintain customer focus, work proactively, and motivate self and others.
- Uphold the highest standards of quality in work and communication.
- Exhibit good verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Safely lift equipment up to 50 lbs.
Certifications:
- BS Degree in Computer Science, or a combination of education and relevant work experience.
- 3–6 years of relevant work experience.
- Microsoft MCSA/MCSE is desirable.
- Additional vendor administrator-level certifications preferred, especially Apple ACMT/ACSP and Cisco CCNA.
- Base-level aviation knowledge and computer skills.
- Part 107 or other aviation certificate.
- Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
- Proactive, reliable, and detail oriented.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a customer-focused mindset.
