• Protect the organization against hackers and cyber‑attacks.
• Monitor network traffic and server logs for unusual activity.
• Identify vulnerabilities in computer networks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Investigate security breaches and develop response strategies.
• Utilize firewall and antivirus software to maintain security posture.
• Integrate and configure Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and other security controls.
• Work with SIEM to establish alerts and rules, collaborating with the Information Security Manager.

• 8+ years of experience ensuring information systems and networks are secure.
• Extremely familiar with Web Application Firewalls and network design principles.
• Experience configuring filters to prevent exploits against vulnerable software.
• Proficient with SIEM communication, establishing alerts and rules.
• Preferred: experience working with HHS CISO Office or the Network Service Division for large IT projects.
