SIEM Security Analyst

Contract: 6-12 months (+potential extension)

Our client is seeking a SIEM Security Analyst to administer and operate the RSA Netwitness Platform. The ideal candidate will hold the Netwitness XDR Specialist Administrator Certification and will be responsible for evaluating and reviewing the existing SIEM platform capabilities, including benchmarking hardware, storage, virtualization, system performance, and log and packet ingestion.

• BS/BA in Computer Science or a related field
• At least 4+ years of experience in a Security Analyst or similar role
• Strong knowledge of SIEM cybersecurity tools, especially RSA Netwitness Platform
• Possession of the Netwitness XDR Specialist Administrator Certification
• Good knowledge of systems requirements gathering
• Prior state or federal government experience is highly desirable
• Experience with IT SDLC processes and Agile methodologies
• Good communication and organizational skills

• Administer and operate the RSA Netwitness Platform
• Design, prepare, and present status reports, upgrade/optimization suggestions, project plans, briefings, and presentations to stakeholders
• Interact extensively with stakeholders, including CSOC Team, network teams, and application/database administrators and developers
• Manage projects to ensure successful completion of CSOC engagements, including creating project plans and managing communications
• Present findings on RSA Netwitness SIEM usage, performance, and utilization
• Troubleshoot and resolve systemic issues in the RSA Netwitness SIEM system and related hardware/software, providing solutions to maintain performance
