Position: CAPPS Business Analyst #2035
CAPPS Business Analyst
Contract: 12 months + multiple extensions
Location: Austin, Texas (Hybrid)
Calling all CAPPS professionals. Do you have experience working with Centralized Accounting Payroll/Personnel System (CAPPS)?
We are looking for a team of strong Business Analysts to assist with the CAPPS ERP. The ideal candidates would have previous experience working with CAPPS core modules (AP/AM/GL/Purchasing/Procurement). The work will involve analyzing and understanding CAPPS user technical and functional requirements for a solution to replace USAS and TINS with a SaaS product requiring some customization for the integration efforts.
Qualifications/Requirements:8 years hands-on experience with concepts, practices, and procedures related to governmental accounting, budget, and payee systems5+ years of experience using USAS, TINS, or SPA (State Property Accounting)Strong previous experience in the use of People Soft or other CAPPS ERP systemsAbility to manage upgrades and modifications of legacy financial enterprise systemsCost saving budget and operating plans development backgroundPrevious experience with system testing and documentationProficiency working in an Agile environment within SDLCProvide consultation to business users and technical resources while collaborating effectively across multiple subject matter groupsPrior experience with re-engineering business processes and identifying new applications to improve effectiveness and efficiencyProficient with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, TEAMS, Microsoft Project, Word, Visio, Excel, and Power Point Knowledge of JIRA environment and Microsoft Share Point Responsibilities:
Collaborate with internal business users to evaluate needs, analyze processes, and document decisions for the procured softwareCreate user stories from requirements gathering for the procured softwarePrepare detailed specifications for application integrationParticipate in project management, planning, and development in an Agile environmentProvide system expertise and support to team membersSupport legacy mainframe systems, People Soft, and other ERP modulesPrepare mockups, charts, diagrams, and tables depicting current and proposed requirementsReview and coordinate data migration into the IT division’s data warehouseParticipate in user acceptance testingTake ownership of reported issues and complete tasks efficiently, reporting progress to project leadershipGenius Road, LLC is proud to be a Certified Women’s Business Enterprise, an Equal Opportunity Employer, and values diversity.
