Desktop Support Specialist

Synergis’ client, a global leader in enterprise software solutions for database and systems management, has engaged us in a search for a Level 2 Desktop Support Technician to join their growing team. This role requires delivering best-in‑class, “white glove” customer service by partnering with end users to resolve technical issues quickly and accurately. The primary responsibility is supporting employees onsite at the client’s Austin office.

• Provide in-person and remote technical support for end users (
  approx. 70% in-person / 30% remote
  )
• Troubleshoot Windows, macOS, mobile devices, peripherals, network access, collaboration tools, and business applications
• Support device deployment and lifecycle activities (provisioning, imaging, application deployment, hardware replacement)
• Document, communicate, and resolve issues in Service Now (or comparable ITSM tool) aligned to IT service management standards
• Support endpoint management using Microsoft Intune
  , MECM/SCCM
  , and Apple management workflows
• Support security tasks such as Bit Locker validation, Microsoft Defender
  , and patch compliance
• Support identity/access tasks involving Microsoft Entra , Active Directory, and MFA
• Assist with initiatives including Windows 11 upgrades, device refreshes, and office moves
• Follow policies for asset tracking, inventory handling, device decommissioning, and data protection
• Use automation/reporting/remote assistance tools responsibly to improve support efficiency
• Cross-train teammates and participate in continuous improvement

• 4–6+ years of in‑person Desktop Support / Device Support / Support Center experience in a corporate environment
• Proven experience supporting end‑user desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and business applications
• Hands‑on experience with Service Now or a comparable ITSM platform
• Exposure to Intune, Entra , Active Directory, endpoint compliance/security preferred
• Bachelor’s degree, technical certificate, or equivalent experience in IT (preferred)
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+ / Network+,
  Microsoft 365
  , Microsoft Endpoint Administrator
  , ITIL Foundation
  , Apple
  , or similar (preferred)

• Knowledge of modern endpoint management and security practices
• Experience supporting executive/VIP users with professionalism and discretion
  
  Clear communication skills across technical and non‑technical audiences
• Local Austin‑area candidates only

The hourly pay rate for this position is negotiable (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, relevant experience, statutory considerations, and location).
