Senior Dev Ops Engineer
Location: Remote
Job Type: Full-Time
Joining: Immediate (Critical Backfill Role)
We are looking for an experienced Senior Dev Ops Engineer to join our team and drive the reliability, scalability, automation, and security of our AWS cloud infrastructure. This role is ideal for a hands-on Dev Ops professional with deep expertise in AWS, Infrastructure as Code, containerization, CI/CD, cloud security, and observability.
You will work closely with Engineering, Product, Data, and Security teams to build and maintain highly available production environments while continuously improving operational efficiency and system performance.
Key Responsibilities- Design, provision, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform
. - Manage and support production workloads running on Amazon ECS, EC2, Lambda, and API Gateway
. - Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Git Hub Actions, Jenkins, and Bitbucket Pipelines.
- Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions using Cloud Watch, Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, and related tools.
- Drive cloud security initiatives, including IAM governance, secrets management, encryption, and vulnerability remediation.
- Manage AWS networking components including VPCs, Load Balancers, Route 53, Security Groups, NAT Gateways, and VPC Endpoints.
- Lead troubleshooting, incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and performance optimization efforts.
- Automate infrastructure and operational processes using scripting and configuration management tools.
- Maintain infrastructure documentation and operational best practices.
- 7+ years of experience in Dev Ops, Cloud Infrastructure, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Platform Engineering
. - Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including:
- ECS, EC2, Lambda, API Gateway
- S3, RDS, Elasti Cache
- IAM, Route 53, Cloud Watch
- Load Balancers and related networking services
- Advanced experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Strong experience with Docker and containerized application deployments.
- Expertise in CI/CD tools such as Git Hub Actions, Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines
, or similar platforms. - Strong AWS networking knowledge, including VPCs, routing, DNS, security groups, NAT Gateways, and private connectivity.
- Experience implementing cloud security best practices, including IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, Cloud Trail, Guard Duty, and AWS Config.
- Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Cloud Watch, Prometheus, Grafana, and New Relic.
- Strong Linux administration, troubleshooting, and automation skills.
- Proficiency in scripting using Python and Bash
. - Experience supporting business-critical production environments and driving reliability improvements.
- Experience with Kubernetes/EKS environments.
- Experience supporting Java-based microservices
. - Familiarity with PHP/Laravel applications and AWS Lambda-based deployments.
- Experience with Packer and Ansible for infrastructure automation.
- Experience supporting MongoDB or Elasticsearch workloads.
- AWS or Kubernetes certifications.
