Senior Cloud Engineer - Allegis Group; Allegis Project

The Senior Cloud Engineer position is a technical role in the organization that is responsible for delivering engineering services. The Sr. Cloud Engineer provide consulting and delivery services for Allegis Group and its Operating Companies focusing on the Microsoft Azure cloud which includes but not limited to deployment, configuration governance, security compliance, cost optimization and engineering support. As a Sr Cloud Engineer, the expectation is to have the experience and background to provide direct hands‑on engineering support for Allegis Groups global infrastructure environments in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.

This role is also responsible for creating and implementing cloud‑based solutions such as IaaS, SaaS, PaaS based on business needs and customer requirements. This specific role is within Corporate Enterprise Operations in support of Allegis Group and its operating companies. The ideal candidate should have experience in medium to large data centre environments, Microsoft Azure, and be proficient at extracting customer requirements and working with end users/ customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Be responsible for creating and implementing cloud‑based solutions such as IaaS, SaaS and PaaS based on business needs and customer requirements.
• Extract customer requirements and work with end users / customers.
• Partner with various departments in the organization such as application development, enterprise operations, security, and risk management to provide solutions to meet the needs of the customer.
• Create and implement disaster recovery solutions and assist with continuous improvement activities.
• Be responsible for creating system monitoring and backup solutions and assisting customer with technical issues.
• Assess, design, and implement Enterprise cloud infrastructure and applications monitoring solutions which notify respective support teams if any anomalies are found with their applications/environments.
• Configure and maintain user friendly interfaces for them to log errors in human readable formats which helps them troubleshoot issues related to their environment and deliver/configure performance dashboards/reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

• US Citizen
• Education – Bachelor's Degree
• Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology or related quantitative discipline and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience in the field of software development, program analytics or related occupation.
