We are hiring a Power BI Developer (Junior) on behalf of our client. This role involves building interactive dashboards and reports that turn raw data into clear insights for business teams. It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, learning visualization best practices, and starting a career in business intelligence.
Role & responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
- Connect to data sources such as Excel, SQL databases, and cloud services
- Clean and transform data using Power Query
- Create data models, relationships, and DAX measures and calculated columns
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and prepare data
- Publish reports to Power BI Service and manage work spaces, refresh schedules, and access
- Work with business teams to understand reporting needs and KPIs
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and report performance
- Fix bugs and update existing dashboards based on user feedback
- Document reports, data sources, and metric definitions
- Learn and follow BI best practices under the guidance of senior developers
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Statistics, Engineering, Commerce, or related field
- 0 to 2 years of experience in Power BI, data analytics, or reporting (internships and projects count)
- Hands‑on knowledge of Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
- Basic to good understanding of DAX and Power Query
- Working knowledge of SQL (joins, aggregations, subqueries)
- Good knowledge of MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups)
- Understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, relationships)
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Good communication skills, able to explain insights to non‑technical users
- Attention to detail and eagerness to learn
