Client: Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC)
Experience: 8+ years in Business Analysis and Report Development
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst 3 to support reporting and data-related initiatives, including mainframe reports and extracts. The ideal candidate will have strong requirements-gathering and report-development experience, along with knowledge of Snowflake, Power BI, data analysis, and UAT
. Experience with Oil and Gas systems is a plus.
- Gather, analyze, document, and validate business requirements.
- Develop and maintain business processes and technical solution documentation.
- Support mainframe reporting and data-extraction initiatives.
- Analyze data, investigate data errors, and perform root-cause analysis.
- Document data flows and support report development.
- Assist with publishing data to the DIR Open Data Portal and RRC website.
- Develop and validate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios.
- Support business teams with training, implementation, research, and user assistance.
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders across multiple reporting projects.
- 8+ years of strong interpersonal, analytical, collaboration, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- 8+ years of requirements gathering and report creation.
- 8+ years of facilitating business requirements and collaborating with business teams to design technical solutions.
- 5+ years of guiding business teams through UAT, training, and implementation.
- 2+ years of experience with Snowflake and Power BI
. - Strong understanding of data analysis, reporting, and business process documentation.
- 2+ years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
- Experience with RRC Oil and Gas systems.
- Experience with mainframe reports and data extracts.
- Familiarity with publishing data through public data portals or organizational websites.
