Position: Medical Interpreters Needed in Austin, TX

Are you passionate about bridging communication barriers in healthcare? Language Line Solutions is on the lookout for dedicated medical interpreters to join our esteemed onsite division in Austin, TX and surrounding areas. As a leader in language services, we are committed to improving patient care by ensuring effective communication between healthcare providers and patients with limited English proficiency.

In this role, you will be providing face-to-face interpreting services at various healthcare facilities, ensuring that patients receive the support they need during critical medical interactions. This is a flexible position, offering assignments on an as-needed basis, and you will work as an independent contractor.

Requirements



Key Responsibilities :

• Provide accurate consecutive interpretation between healthcare providers and patients.
• Maintain professional conduct and cultural sensitivity during all assignments.
• Follow specific client instructions while managing the flow of communication in a professional manner.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in medical interpretation is preferred.
• Fluency in English and the target language, with a strong understanding of cultural nuances.
• Excellent listening and note-taking skills for high accuracy.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is essential.
• Capable of delivering interpretations while maintaining neutrality and professionalism.
• Education in languages or interpretation is a plus.
