Remote Position:

Description:

Act as a liaison between English and non-English speaking and/or hearing guests, staff and patients
by providing interpreter services.

• Listen to, comprehend and translate oral or written communications from English to Spanish and vice versa.
• Translate basic to intermediate communication.
• Comply with all privacy and confidentiality policies when communicating patient information.
• Develop translated forms and educational materials for non-English speaking and/or hearing populations.
• Assist in the orientation and onboarding of new members of the network language services team.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Certified Interpreter credentialed from the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters preferred.
• Translator credentialed from the American Translators Association.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate’s
  degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

• Preferred National Certification as a Health Care Interpreter and/or 40-hour certificate in medical interpreting.
