Responsible for providing high quality legal advice and representation on retail regulatory matters. Anticipates issues, develops solutions, and leads complex regulatory proceedings, including litigation, with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic legal counsel on regulatory and compliance matters for the organization.
- Lead complex regulatory proceedings, including litigation, with minimal supervision.
- Draft and negotiate regulatory documents, agreements, and other legal instruments.
- Supervise and mentor attorneys, legal staff, and outside counsel.
- Communicate complicated legal issues to internal stakeholders and external parties.
- Work collaboratively across business units to resolve legal matters.
- A Juris Doctor is required.
- 9+ years of experience in Regulatory, Corporate, Commercial, and Nuclear law.
- Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
- Texas admission or ability to obtain admission.
- 15+ years of direct experience in electric utility regulatory law.
- Proven leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Strategic decision-making and collaborative mindset.
- Commitment to ethical conduct and professionalism.
