Job Overview
Paralegal – Immigration and Litigation at Action Behavior Centers (ABC) will become a foundational member of ABC’s new and growing legal team. The role may be remote, but ABC prefers candidates based in Austin, TX who are willing to work from headquarters 2–3 days per week.
Responsibilities- Serve as the primary contact for all service process and assignment matters.
- Track and project manage all ABC litigation matters, including EEOC claims, employment litigation, and professional liability claims.
- Draft responses to regulatory agencies (EEOC, OSHA, licensing boards), notice letters, cease and desist letters, and provide light contract drafting and review.
- Help develop ABC best practices, policies and procedures related to management and organization of litigation matters.
- With oversight from ABC attorneys, support H1‑B and TN Visa applications for ABC teammates and provide additional employment law support as directed.
- Attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training as needed.
- Perform general administrative support not directly related to immigration or litigation matters as assigned.
- Associate’s degree and paralegal certificate or bachelor’s degree and related work experience.
- At least 5 years of litigation experience, preferably with extensive drafting experience; immigration experience is preferred but not required.
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook/Google Mail and related.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Professionalism, courtesy, and time management skills; ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities with shifting time frames.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Some travel required (less than 10%).
