Overview

Reports to:

General Counsel

FLSA Status:
Full-Time, Salaried-Exempt

Normal Working Hours – Office

Hours:

8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday

Location:

Austin, TX (Hybrid or Remote option available)

Position Objective:
Supports the General Counsel by handling administrative and scheduling tasks, helping streamline legal operations with a strong emphasis on transactional work. This role requires exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with a preference for candidates who have a heavy transactional background over litigation.

Responsibilities
  • Document Management:
    Prepares, organizes, and maintains legal documents and contracts. Updates SOP as needed.
  • Contract Support:
    Assists in drafting and reviewing routine contracts and amendments, including drafting prime agreements using standard forms, initial review of prime contracts using Document Crunch, and processing requested subcontract form revisions.
  • Administrative Support:
    Manages scheduling, correspondence, and filing systems for the legal department. Assists in scheduling and creating training on Legal SOP.
  • Additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Preferred:
    Associate or Bachelor’s degree;
    Paralegal certification.
  • Required:

    Minimum 5+ years of corporate paralegal experience (construction law and contract experience strongly preferred).
  • Preferred: 10+ years of paralegal experience with a heavy transactional background.
Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills, including deadline tracking and task prioritization.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy under deadlines.
  • Experience in construction law and contract management is a major bonus.
  • Strong knowledge of Texas construction statutes, lien laws, and prevailing wage compliance.
